Delete your data
How to delete your WalkaMundi account or request deletion of data associated with our Facebook and Instagram integration.
1 · Your WalkaMundi app account
Open the WalkaMundi mobile app, sign in, go to your profile and select the option to delete your account. Confirm only when you are ready: account deletion is permanent and removes your profile, credits and saved tours.
If you cannot access your account, send a request to contact@walkamundi.com from the email associated with it. Explain that you want to delete your WalkaMundi account. Our privacy policy explains any limited information retained and the reasons for retaining it.
2 · A Facebook or Instagram connection
Our Meta integration publishes content to WalkaMundi's own social accounts. It does not provide Facebook or Instagram sign-in to website visitors. If you authorized a connection and want to revoke it, open the connected Facebook or Instagram account settings, find WalkaMundi in the apps, websites or business integrations section, and remove its access. The section name depends on the type of connection.
Removing access stops the integration from using that authorization. To also request deletion of connection data held by WalkaMundi, follow the email instructions below. The request can cover stored account identifiers, access credentials and associated records containing your personal data.
3 · Send a data deletion request
Write to contact@walkamundi.com with the subject “WalkaMundi — Data deletion”. Include only the information needed to find the relevant account or connection:
- The platform concerned: the WalkaMundi app, Facebook or Instagram.
- For the mobile app, the account email. For a Meta connection, the connected account username or the public Page URL.
- Which data you want deleted, or whether you want to delete all personal data associated with that account or connection.
We will reply by email to follow up on the request. If ownership needs to be verified, we will ask only for the information required. Once verified, we will delete or anonymize the relevant data unless a legal obligation requires its retention; we will explain any such exception and the outcome of the request.
Do not send passwords, access tokens or application secret keys. They are not needed to request deletion.
4 · What is managed separately
Deleting connection data does not delete your Facebook or Instagram account or automatically remove posts already published there. Manage those accounts and posts on the relevant platform. For a request concerning content on a WalkaMundi social account, include the post link in your email.
To remove this website's locally stored language preference, clear its site data in your browser settings. Data held directly by Meta or Google is managed using the controls provided by those services.
